ScoutPalSE4 combines the ease of use of a cell phone handset
with the accuracy, speed and flexibility of a high-powered Class II laser
scanner, producing a discreet, compact and powerful tool for wireless bookscouting.
The ScoutPalSE4 system is available only for specific phones:
Nextel i355/i365, i265/275, and i605/615,
and BoostMobile i415. The compatible i365
is currently
available new from Nextel. (Phone models that are out of stock at
Nextel are sometimes available new from indirect Nextel agents like
wirefly.com)
At the present time, BoostMobile
does not offer a ScoutPalSE4-compatible phone, but used
BoostMobile i415 phones can often be found on
eBay at a very low cost, along with the other compatible Nextel phones.
If you buy a used phone, be sure to confirm with the seller that a SIM
card is included. (SIM cards are also available separately on eBay.)
* ScoutPalSE is only available for specific
phones that operate on Nextel/Boost cellular networks only. ScoutPalSE
is not available for any other phone with any other cellular carrier, such
as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.
