ScoutPalSE4 for
BoostMobile i415 |
A ScoutPalSE4 scanner is available for the Motorola BoostMobile
i415 phone, as pictured above. BoostMobile is a "Pay-as-you-go"
cellular carrier, no contract is required.
Use of ScoutPalSE4 requires that you provision the phone
with "web browsing" when activating it with Boost. Boost charges
only 35c per day for unlimited web usage, which works out to about $10 a
month. When you activate the phone with Boost, a phone number will
be assigned to it, and you can use the phone for voice calls if you
wish, but you don't have to. If you don't make or answer any
calls, your BoostMobile balance will not be charged for voice services.
Although the i415 handset is no longer available for
purchase new directly from Boost, they can sometimes be found at Boost
retailers, such as Wal-Mart. They are also sometimes listed for
sale on eBay, new and used. If you purchase a cell phone on eBay,
be sure to read the fine print in the auction listing, and confirm that
it comes with a SIM card. Ask the seller to be sure. If it
doesn't come with a SIM card, it will be useless as you won't be able to
get it activated with Boost services.
